WELCOME TO ACTIVE FIRST AID

REC, Canine, Urban and at work-based First Aid Courses.

Active First Aid is one of the UK's leading training providers of Rescue Emergency Care (REC) outdoor first aid courses, canine first aid courses and also provides a range of other more urban and work-based first aid courses.

Katherine Wills founded Active First Aid in 1999 and delivers all courses. She has over 45 years of first aid experience and two decades as an Advanced First aider on the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team, one of the busiest teams in the UK. She is also the author of “Outdoor First Aid”.

Katherine believes that First Aid is about 'doing', the emphasis during the course is on the practical elements. When appropriate the theory is taken out of the class room and into the outdoors providing candidates with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a realistic environment. On the outdoor based courses realistic visual simulation during first aid scenarios are used to take practical training to a new level. This can make treating casualties easier - as often you can see what you are actually trying to treat - as well as helping to desensitise candidates preparing them for the realism of treating actual casualties.

Katherine’s interactive, enthusiastic and fun teaching style gives you the opportunity to become confident in providing care, and the ability to apply general first aid principles to each and every first aid situation you may find yourself in.

As part of the service Active First Aid will alert you three months prior to your certificate expiry date.
