EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK FORESTRY (EFAW+F)


THE EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK FOR THE FORESTRY ENVIRONMENT IS IDEAL FOR THOSE THAT WORK OR INTEND TO WORK IN THE FORESTRY INDUSTRY

This 7 hour course is the statutory first aid qualification for those wishing to work in the forestry industry and follows the latest Forestry Commission First Aid Policy (+F).

Suitable for forest workers, tree surgeons, lumberjacks, woodland managers, arborists, hauliers, rangers, ecologists and those undertaking site visits in remote areas This very practical course is taught outside with realistic scenarios in the outdoor setting.

COURSE DETAILS


1 DAY COURSE (7 HOURS)

The scheme contains the standard *EFAW scheme but will be taught outside plus contain the following topics:

  • Severe bleeding (i.e. chainsaw injury)

  • Crush injury

  • Hypothermia

  • Lyme Disease

  • Calling for Emergency services in a remote environment

  • Other topics can be added depending on the client's needs

PLEASE NOTE: If you work outdoors and in a forestry environment the Outdoor First Aid course may also be considered as an alternative to the EFAW+F. It covers all the content required by the current Forestry Commission First Aid Policy (+F) as standard.
