Active First Aid’s Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how Active First Aid uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website and attend a first aid course.

Active first aid is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, booking onto a course, and then attending that course, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Active First Aid may occasionally change this policy by updating this page. You should check this page to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

What Active First Aid collects

During booking and attendance on a course we collect the following information:

  • Full name, address, and post code.

  • Contact information including email address.

  • Mobile phone number for each candidate.

  • Other information including next of kin in case of emergencies during your course.

We do not share client details with any 3rd parties, other than REC head office.

What we do with the information we gather

Active First Aid requires this information for the following reasons:

  • To register you onto the first aid course of your choice.

  • Mobile numbers can be used to alert candidate of problems on the day of the course such as road closure or emergency change of venue.

  • If you have undertaken a REC first aid course previously and are on the REC system, then you will have access to your certificate(s).

  • We will send you reminders by email of your current first aid certificate expiry date and invite you to re book to keep your certification current. 

Security

Active First Aid is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Controlling your personal information

We will not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please contact Active First Aid.

If you believe that any information, we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
